In order for you to get any use out of the Study Manager for your textbook, here is what to do:

  • 1. Get a blank, formatted disk, label it Study Manager, and put it into drive A.
  • 2. Click on the link to the left of these instructions.
  • 3. When the download begins, make certain you save "kagan.exe" to your disk.
  • 4. When download is complete, from the A:\> prompt, type "kagan" (no quotes) and tap enter.
  • 5. The contents of the archive are self-extracting and will be produced automatically.
  • 6. Once they are unpacked, you can erase the archive "kagan.exe."
  • 7. Then, from the A:\> prompt, just type "sm" (no quotes), tap enter, and follow instructions.
  • The Study Manager contains sample questions from the Prentice-Hall "test bank." These are not the same questions which will appear on your quizzes, but they are very similar. If you have trouble with these questions after reading your assignments, you will almost certainly have trouble with the quiz questions too ... so reread assignments until you do better.
